General Cleaning
Cleaning every few months helps maintain the appearance and hygiene of your artificial turf.
- Weekly Rinse: Use a garden hose to rinse off dust, debris, and pet waste.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills or stains, blot the area with a damp cloth and use a mild, non-abrasive detergent if necessary. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Pet Care
Artificial turf is pet-friendly but requires special attention:
- Remove solid waste promptly and rinse the area.
- Use a turf deodorizer to neutralize odors.
- Brush the fibers occasionally to maintain an upright appearance.
Seasonal Care
Different seasons bring specific challenges. Here’s how to address them:
Spring & Summer
- Regularly remove debris such as leaves, twigs, and pollen.

Fall
- Use a leaf blower or wide-prong rake to remove leaves/debris before winter.
- Ensure drainage systems are clear to handle seasonal rain.
Winter
- Avoid using excessive salt or chemicals around turf area; they can degrade the turf’s fibers.
- Use a plastic shovel to clear snow gently. Do not use metal tools/metal-bladed shovels.
Preventing Damage
Artificial turf is durable but requires care to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.
- Furniture and Equipment: Use protective pads under heavy furniture or equipment to prevent indentations.
- Sharp Objects: Avoid using tools or objects that may puncture or tear the turf.
- Hot Surfaces: Keep barbecues, fire pits, or other high-temperature equipment away from the turf, as excessive heat can cause melting.
- Vehicles: Do not park cars, bikes, or heavy machinery on the turf to prevent compaction or damage to the substructure.

ORIGINAL: We had a small job to replace the grass in our backyard with artificial turf since nothing was growing under two large spruce trees. Cameron from Ace Turf visited our home and provided an estimate once we chose the artificial grass we wanted. Cameron was very professional, polite, and easy to talk to. We found their quote quite competititve among 5 companies. Two workers along with Cameron started the project on their promised date and completed it in 2 1/2 days. The workers were hard working (manual digging and removal of the existing grass and dirt), well mannered, friendly, and kept a tidy worksite. The finished job looks excellent (the grass actually looks too perfect now!) and it met all our expectations.We are very pleased with the project from start to finish and would highly recommend Ace Turf for this type of work.

I had a wonderful experience working with Cameron and David from Ace Turf. Cameron was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process in answering and addressing any questions or concerns that I had. The installation was seamless and quick. I am so happy with the final result, the turf is soft to the touch, it makes my daycare space look bigger, brighter and most importantly the kids love running and rolling around on it. I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to install artificial turf.
